Look closely within...

It’s not easy to step back from ourselves and look deeply within at our own thoughts, words, and actions as God sees them. He sees far too many double-minded Christians. Those are the Christians who talk the talk, but don’t match their actions with their words. We cannot hide from our Lord; He sees both sides of us. We must strive to capture our thoughts and guard our tongues if we truly want to be pure in heart, and right in God’s sight. It is a daily; even minute by minute examination and correction of ourselves that we must ask The Holy Spirit to guide us in. Matthew 7:1-3 Judging Others 7 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? James 1: 2-27 Listening and Doing 19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it"not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it"they will be blessed in what they do.
